If it plugs in and nobody can figure it out, we can help.
Ask anything you like. We'll explain what we're doing while we do it.
Wi-Fi that reaches the whole house
Dead spots, a router in the wrong place, a network nobody can get onto. We fix the coverage first, before anybody tells you to buy faster internet.
Computers that have gotten slow or strange
The machine that takes four minutes to start, the file that vanished, the update that won't finish. We sort those out and set up a backup while we're there.
Phones and tablets, set up your way
Photos, contacts, passwords and the settings nobody can find. We'll get it set up the way you want to use it.
TVs, streaming and “where did my channel go”
New TV set up, streaming apps sorted out, remotes that work, and one clear explanation of which button does what.
Learning it at your own pace
Some visits are all teaching, and that suits us fine. We go through it with you until it makes sense and you can do it on your own.
Printers that won't print
It worked yesterday and today the computer can't find it. That's a common problem, it's not something you did, and we can fix it.
Doorbells, cameras and smart home gear
Doorbells, cameras, speakers, thermostats and lights, set up so they notify the right phone and you can find them when you need them.
Scams, pop-ups and “is this email real?”
Pop-ups, fake warnings, emails that want you to click. We'll clear it out and show you what to look for so the next one doesn't get you.
What tech help looks like around here.
Strawberry Hill, Rosedale and Armourdale are old frame houses on the hills and the river bottoms, with plaster walls and the router wherever the cable came in decades ago. Out west in Piper, Basehor and western Shawnee the subdivisions are new and big, which is its own Wi-Fi problem. Leavenworth calls itself the first city of Kansas, and the brick houses on its older streets are hard on a signal. The fix usually starts with where the router sits, and we'll say plainly when it's the service and not the house.
Patient, unhurried help, especially for the 55+ crowd.
A lot of households in Wyandotte County have been in the same house for generations, and plenty of the people in them retired from the Fairfax plant, the rail yards or KU Med. We sit down, go at your pace, and write things down if you want them written down.
