Local Nerd jobs in Owasso, Claremore & North Tulsa
Owasso, Claremore, Bartlesville, Pawhuska and the Kansas line are all covered now. Every travel band measured from downtown Owasso books in person, Coffeyville, Independence and Caney included. We're still hiring here. The drives to the top of the market are an hour or more each way for the people making them, and a market this wide on a short roster has evenings, weekends and days nobody is covering.
In-person visits are open across this whole market, in every travel band that has towns in it. We're still hiring here: an open market has evenings, weekends and days nobody is covering.
Remote help by phone and screen-share already works at every address in this market, and it's part of the job wherever you live. A Local Nerd living here adds the half that can't be done over the phone. See what customers are told on the Owasso page.
38 towns are measured from downtown Owasso: 16 within 25 miles, 12 in the 25 to 50 mile band, 10 in the 50 to 75 mile band. They sit in Rogers, Tulsa, Washington, Nowata and Craig counties. Every market reaches 75 miles from its downtown in three travel bands, and the farther bands pay a higher hourly rate because the drive is longer. You choose which bands you take, and you can change it later.

Not sure which market your town belongs to? Apply for the city nearest you and tell us where you live. The markets overlap on purpose, and you tell us which queues you want bookings from.
The near half of this market is easy, suburban work: Owasso, Collinsville, Catoosa, Claremore, houses close together and short drives between them. Go north and it changes completely. Bartlesville is an old company town with old wiring and a lot of retirees who want somebody patient. Pawhuska and the Osage country beyond it are wide open, and the towns up on the Kansas line are closer to each other than to anything in Oklahoma, which makes them easy to run together in a day.
You keep the majority of every booking, and 100% of every tip. You see the split up front. Tips are paid out weekly with no commission taken.
You set your own availability. Open the times that suit you in Nerd HQ. A few evenings a week or full time, that part is your call.
Bookings come to you. When you're marked available, customers book your open time directly, with buffer time built in around each visit.
Nobody negotiates money at the door. Every booking takes a deposit up front and holds the card. The customer signs off on your phone at the end and the rest charges itself.
You're independent. Your own tools, any reliable and presentable vehicle, and free to work elsewhere whenever you like.
You have a team behind you. You get the Nerd HQ app, a direct line to HQ, a team that meets over video, and other Local Nerds to ask when something's strange.
Open isn't the same as covered well. Every band here books in person today, but Bartlesville, Pawhuska and the Kansas towns are a long drive from where the people covering them live. Somebody living up that end shortens every one of those drives and puts a second calendar on the market.
No. Bartlesville and Dewey are attributed to this market, in the middle travel band measured from downtown Owasso. Living there puts you in the half of the market with the longest drives today.

Markets with nobody in them are listed first. If your town isn't the one on this page, it's almost certainly on one of these.
This page describes an independent contractor opportunity and is not an offer of employment. Local Nerds are independent contractors, not employees: you set your own availability, use your own tools and vehicle, and are free to work elsewhere. Compensation is a revenue share paid on completed bookings. Nothing on this page guarantees any level of income or booking volume, in this market or any other.
